The Lodge: The Vision

The Lake Manitoba Narrows Lodge has been a family operation for the past one hundred years, developed by generations of the Olafson family. The new direction is to increase the size of the permanent population of the Narrows by selling house lots. Early phases of development have sold out to purchasers from Western Canada with potential for hundreds of more sites. Because the demand on the Vendor to develop infrastructure and more home sites requires their full attention, they have decided to sell the lodge together with 7.95 acres with water rights and all other business amenities.

The proceeds of the sale will be pledged to fund further development of the community at large, thus enhancing future business opportunities of the lodge and the related business.

Part of the vision of the Vendors is a new 18 hole golf course, well advanced in development, scheduled to open in 2012. Golf course is 1 km from the lodge development, designed by David Grant. Numerous other attractions, including sport and recreational activities, are also offered.
